SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen self-test for private individuals
The Roche SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Rapid Test was specially designed for personal use. Now it has received its special approval for corona self-tests in Germany on March 1st, 2021. It is therefore freely available and does not require a prescription, proof of medical education and the like are not required.

The RKI sees the use of corona tests for self-application as an important supplementary measure to contain the pandemic. If carried out correctly and in a timely manner, rapid and independent intervention can help slow the spread and interrupt chains of infection. Health authorities are relieved and it is easier to follow up contacts quickly.

Test quickly and easily at home with Corona self-tests
Just as reliable as other coronavirus antigen rapid tests, this test from Roche impresses with its high sensitivity and specificity. In addition, it is particularly simple and pleasant to carry out for the patient. The required sample can be taken from the anterior nasal area (nasal swab). Unpleasant side effects such as choking, coughing or sneezing, which are caused by a nasopharyngeal smear, are thus excluded.

All necessary materials as well as step-by-step instructions for personal use are also included in the scope of delivery. This also ensures that user errors are reduced to a minimum at this point. The test results are available after 15 minutes.

If the test result is positive, you should stop any contact as soon as possible and remain in isolation at home. Then contact the family doctor who will explain the next steps to you.
